Art fair proposal

Your art fair proposal, with your work on the booth

Hang the works you’d bring on a 4 × 3 m booth and see it from six spots in the aisle. Then type the concept and your details, and download a proposal PDF: the booth, each work framed and on a gallery wall, and a page about you.

For artists and galleries who haven’t started an application yet. The booth is a photoreal picture made for situ, not a photograph of a real stand.

Then add the next: two works without an account, up to 8 with a free one.

Questions

Frequently asked

What goes in the proposal?
A cover with the booth and your name; a booth page with the booth from the aisle, three wall views under it and your concept beside it; a page for each work, with the work framed beside it hung on a gallery wall, and its details; and an about page with your bio, recent fairs and contact.
Do I have to write anything?
You type it: the concept, your bio and statement, recent fairs and contact, and each work’s title, year, medium, price and artist. Anything you leave blank is left out of the PDF.
Is the booth the size of mine?
Choose the nearest of Artist fair stand (3 × 1 m), 12 m² art fair booth (4 × 3 m), Small art fair booth (5 × 5 m), Art fair booth (9 × 5 m). The cover names the booth you chose, so your fair’s own floor plan stays the reference for its exact size.
Is it a photograph of a real booth?
No. The booths are photoreal pictures made for situ, not photographs of a real stand. Your works are placed in them at their real size.
Will the PDF fit an application form?
It is made under 5 MB. If your works make it larger, the pictures are made smaller until it fits; with a great many works you may be asked to take one down.
What does it cost?
Hanging your works, writing the words and previewing every page are free, with no account. Downloading the PDF needs Artist (£9 a month) or above. Nothing in it carries a watermark.
Where are my details kept?
The words, prices and artist names you type stay in this browser. A saved work’s title, year and medium are kept with the work, as the rest of situ keeps them.
