Installation views before you hang the show

Hang the works once in a gallery photographed from four spots, and every view that sees a wall shows its works in the same place. Installation views for the press release, the preview email and the artist, before a nail goes in.

For gallery directors, curators and registrars planning a hang. Try it in our demo gallery; for your own space, talk to us.

Then add the next: two works without an account, up to 8 with a free one.

How it works

Hang once, see the whole set

  1. STEP 01

    Add the works

Upload a photo of each work with its width and height, in centimetres or inches. A framed work hangs at its framed size.

  2. STEP 02

    Hang them once

Drag a work along its wall in any photo. Every view that sees that wall follows.

  3. STEP 03

    Download the set

Download the whole set at once, the installation views of the show, on Artist and above.

Questions

Frequently asked

Is it a walk-through of the gallery?
No. It makes still photographs: installation views of the show from where a visitor would stand, which you download and send. There is nothing to walk around and nothing for anyone to log into.
Does a work stay in the same place from view to view?
Yes. Each work hangs on a wall at a distance along it and a height, in centimetres, and every photo that sees that wall shows it there. Move it in one photo and it moves in all of them.
Can we use photos of our own gallery?
Not by yourselves yet. Talk to us about your space.
How many works can we hang?
Up to 8. Without an account you can add two; a free account takes you to 8.
What does it cost?
Hanging the show and looking at the views are free, with no account. Downloading the set needs Artist (£9 a month) or above. No view carries a watermark.
What are the views for?
The press release and the exhibition page on your website, the preview email to collectors, and agreeing the hang with the artist, all before the works arrive.
Can we change the hang later?
Yes. Your works and their places stay in this browser. Open the show again to move a work, add one or take one down, then download the views again.
